Job Description – Production Manager
Roles & Responsibilities
Purpose of the Job
1. The purpose of the position is to perform all aspects of the injection molding operations including basic troubleshooting & problem solving, Changeovers of Mould & downtime tracking
2. The Machine Operator will also be responsible for Size change, maintaining stocks based on demand, and following the predetermined quality specifications.
3. The following reports are prepared by the position holder: -Hourly quality checklist, Raw material Traceability, hourly production counter, Line stoppage report, Raw material Consumption, downtime record sheet, Material data, GMP, and Cleaning checks.
Key Accountabilities :
- Follow Standard operating procedures in work and adhere to safe work practices, Operating, Material, and processing of Plastic Products with acceptable limits as per Machine design
- Operate/monitor the assigned machines during operation to ensure quality products and minimal unplanned stops and to perform preventive and routine maintenance activities to ensure proper machine startup and operation to achieve high machine efficiency.
- Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high-quality levels per SOP to attain cost-effective production.
- Prepare production reports with high accuracy and highlight day-to-day machine/material/operational issues on time to the supervisor to plan preventive and planned maintenance.

Desired Candidate Profile
Qualification
- Diploma in Technical field or Plastic technology with experience in injection, Blow molding, Extrusion of Food, and Domestic products. Or
- Secondary school plus 3 years of hands-on experience in Plastic products from HDPE, PP, PS, PET, and LLDPE manufacturing unit experience.
Experience
- 2 years of experience as an operator in Injection/Blow Moulding, in the food products industry, and a strong understating of equipment operation, Plastic material, and basic troubleshooting and repairs.
Technical Capabilities (machine/technology etc.)
- Injection / Blow / Extrusion Moulding with Robot Experience.
Working Environment
- The position holder will work in the production area in a shift of 12 or 8 hours. The overtime depends on the work environment.
- The shift will be determined by the production supervisor, willingness, and ability to cross-trained on other production line equipment including GMP/Housekeeping.
- The position holder operates the following machines on a rotational basis and as per demand requirement: – PET Preform injection M/C and Cap Injection M/C If Demand for semi-finished goods is Met, the Position Holder will Assist 5G line and PET line Bottling, Machine Operation.
